We went camping to Zion National Park recently and one night the kids put a handful of dried up leaves on the fire. They burned hot and super bright for only a few seconds and then went out. grasping at any opportunity to teach these kiddos something I explained how that’s how our bodies react when we eat white sugar or simple carbs. We burn it up quick, if we’re active, and it adds nothing to maintaining the overall health of our bodies.
